Tigerprint Photography Competition

There is still time to enter Tigerprint's current photography competition it closes on the 28th.
Now Graham, Vic and I can't enter since we manage and run the site.  However nothing stopping our pals on Photocafe from entering, tell your family and friends too. £200 for the winner and winning shot could go into publication on a lovely Marks and Spencers product. What you waiting for ladies!! Kate you wanted something to do out there in Aussie land get shooting.

Random Album Project

 

The Facebook Random Album Project

You have probably seen this floating around facebook for a few weeks but I thought it could be good to adapt for a photography project.

First the “what to do”:
1 - Go to wikipedia. Hit random
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Random quotations
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to flickr and click on explore the last seven days
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use photoshop or for a really easy program use www.Picnik.com to put it all together.

5 - Post it with this text in the caption and TAG the friends you want to join in.

Project 002 Dagwood

Project Dagwood.

In addition to our Wednesday Theme project, I'd like to suggest we try another.  This one won't be confined to certain days.

One person submits an image, and each of us adds to it via photo technology, collaboratively building a layered image that contains a little of all of us in it.  The result will be a masterpeice, or a mess, somewhat like a dagwood sandwich, image featured to the left.  Either way, the process should be challenging, collaborative, and fun.

So in response to the recent chocolate photoshoot colaboration that distracted me a full half hour last night.
How about each week one of us takes it in turn to post a photo or even just one word for us to respond to with a photo. What do you think?
